    Academic Background

    Dr Bubeck has worked for over ten years in academic labs, focusing her research efforts on microbial pathogenesis and host-pathogen interactions both in vitro and in vivo. She has studied a variety of microorganisms which included bacterial, fungal, and viral pathogens. Dr Bubeck most recently worked for over six years in the pharmaceutical industry, developing monoclonal antibodies for use in infectious disease, cancer, fibrosis, and autoimmune disorders. During this time, she worked extensively on in vitro assay development, in vivo disease modeling, and testing of monclonal antibody drug candidates both in vivo and in vitro. In addition, she worked for six years at a pharmaceutical company doing early stage research for monoclonal antibody drugs in the areas of cancer, fibrosis, infectious disease, and autoimmune disease. Dr Bubeck has expertise in drug development, assay development, and in vivo disease modeling.

    Publishing History

    Dr Bubeck has published six peer reviewed scientific papers, including three first author papers and one review article. Her work has been published in journals such as Infection and Immunity and Eukaryotic Cell. She authored a grant proposal that was funded by NIOSH and has contributed to the authorship of grant proposals written by collaborators. In addition, she has written study reports, patent drafts, project reports, project proposals, and annual reports for internal use at a pharmaceutical company.

    Editing Experience

    Dr Bubeck has reviewed and edited a wide variety of documents including scientific manuscripts, project proposals, patent drafts, monthly and annual reports, CVs, personal statements, cover letters, and presentation slides for both native and non-native English speakers. She joined Edanz Group as an editor in 2018.
