    Dr Muir is a paleontologist specializing in Ordovician paleocommunities and paleoecology, with a particular focus on echinoderms, graptolites, sponges and worms. Her work has involved studying fossil assemblages in Australia, China, Morocco and the UK. Dr Muir has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers, including several taxonomic papers, and she has named more than ten new species of fossils. She has worked at the Natural History Museum, London, the Nanjing Institute of Geology and Paleontology, China, and as a freelance geological consultant. Dr Muir joined Edanz in 2013 as an editor with experience editing scientific manuscripts in all areas of earth science.
