    Academic Background

Dr Hildebrand is an experienced computational chemist in the field of materials science. She has more than 8 years of experience in conducting both plane-wave and gaseous-phase density functional theory calculations on various materials, ranging from molecules to molecular solids to solids. She also has vast experience in supervising students, publishing work in international, high-impact journals, and has attended numerous international conferences. Dr Hildebrand is currently working on a variety of different projects. For example, she is solving the structure–function relationship of different types of molecular crystals in the eyes of cats and lemurs. Furthermore, she is examining the properties of boron subphthalocyanines as well as boron subnaphthalocyanines for applications in organic photovoltaics. Dr Hildebrand is an experienced LaTeX format user.

    Publishing History

Dr Hildebrand has authored five peer-reviewed papers and is currently working on the publication of six additional papers. She published three of her publications as both first author and corresponding author, and she is the first theory author on the remaining publications. She has presented at several international conferences and seminars, and has been an invited speaker for the American Electrochemical Society as well as for the International Conference on Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines.

    Editing and Reviewing Experience

Dr Hildebrand has edited manuscripts for both students and colleagues at her current and previous institutions. She has been a reviewer for the American Chemical Society and Elsevier. Dr Hildebrand joined Edanz as an editor and reviewer in 2022.
