Ms Bhana has an extensive background in scientific research and medical publishing. Her 10 years of research experience covered physiology, molecular biology, genetics and diabetes, the latter being the focus of her MSc thesis. Ms Bhana’s subsequent 16-year career in medical communications, including 13 years at Adis International Ltd (Wolters Kluwer and Springer Healthcare), began with the writing of new drug profiles and drug evaluations for the Company’s review journals. This was followed by involvement in the creation and maintenance of individual drug profiles covering multiple therapeutic areas, including muscular and neurological disorders, gene therapy and Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Over the next 6 years, she gained specialized medical communications knowledge across a wide range of therapeutic areas, including cardiology, diabetes, neurology and oncology. An experienced medical writer and editor, Ms Bhana has been acknowledged for providing medical writing assistance in numerous publications in peer reviewed journals. She joined Edanz group as an editor in 2015.
