Dr Mahaffey is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Cancer Institute at the New York University School of Medicine. He obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering, and his doctoral research focused on the regulation of Wnt signaling in both mouse development and mouse models of colorectal cancer. Dr Mahaffey is currently studying oncogenic Ras signaling with a focus on developing small molecule inhibitors to treat Ras-driven malignancies. He has published several peer-reviewed articles, presented his work at international conferences and acted as a peer reviewer. He is a member of the AACR organization and is a recipient of NIH and AACR postdoctoral fellowships. He joined Edanz Group as an editor in 2015.
