Mr Daniel is a Director of Communications, scientific editor, and medical writer with 25 years’ experience, with special expertise in cancer, cardiology, and epidemiology. He has led scientific publications programs for major research organizations and is a scientific communication expert with background encompassing academic research organizations and drug development, global health/NGOs, and the nonprofit world.
Mr Daniel has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and has contributed to dozens more. He has been the managing editor for 22 books, and has presented at major international conferences, including the UICC World Cancer Congress and the Drug Information Association.
Editing and Reviewing Experience
Mr Daniel has been charged with publication planning and manuscript editing for all publications from his department for over a decade, most recently with a group producing over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles per year. He has also served as managing editor for multiple book series, including a cancer reference title that was translated into ten languages. In addition, he has been a freelance medical editor since 1996. Mr Daniel joined Edanz Group as an editor in 2020.
Mr Daniel has taught sessions on scientific writing in English for international researchers in France, the United States, and Ethiopia. In his spare time, he is a published author of short fiction and was nominated for the 2007 Pushcart Prize for small-press fiction.
