Dr Cox, a clinical trial manager with Novo Nordisk in Denmark, obtained her PhD in Clinical Pharmacology. Her PhD research focused on gene expression in cancers of the gastrointestinal tract and its regulation by inhibitors of the cyclooxygenase pathway. Having also completed postdoctoral research in the field of atherosclerosis, she has presented her research at both local and international conferences, been published in conference proceedings and international journals, and acted as a peer reviewer. During her undergraduate studies, Dr Cox assisted in the investigation of the nephrotoxicity of immunosuppressant compounds, and she is a previous recipient of the Irish Cancer Society Oncology Scholars Travel Award. Dr Cox joined Edanz Group as an editor in 2015.
