Dr Raha has over 10 years of research experience in areas including structural biology, biophysics, experimental therapeutics, preclinical oncology, and early-phase clinical research. Her doctoral research was focused on understanding the structural conformations of bacterial transcription factors and specificity of protein-DNA interactions. During her postdoctoral research, Dr Raha developed several drug-resistant breast cancer cell lines, determined the mechanisms of resistance, and evaluated novel drug combinations to overcome them. She was also involved in early-phase clinical trials in cancer patients, where she designed and conducted correlative studies for pharmacodynamics analysis. Currently Dr Raha works as a Scientist in the Drug Discovery team at SignalChem Lifesciences in Vancouver.
Dr Raha is also an educator and reviewer for several international journals. She has presented her work at several international conferences and has authored multiple manuscripts, review articles, and an invited book chapter. She is also a Board Member of the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology. Dr Raha joined Edanz Group as a research consultant in 2016.
