    Academic Background

    Ms Dickinson is an experienced biologist in the realm of micro- and macro-algae research and development that includes optimization of growth conditions, expertise in examining physiological characteristics, biochemical components, biotechnology, and photo kinetics. Additionally, her research encompasses the examination of bioactives for health-related purposes. She has more than 15 years of experience in project management, supervising students and reporting and publishing work. She also has 10 years of experience in the Veterinary Science field and is knowledgeable in the areas of anatomy, physiology, internal medicine, radiology, anesthesiology, emergency and critical care, microbiology, and animal behavior, among others. Her volunteer work has provided her with ecological and environmental planning, and environmental assessment experience. She possesses proficiency in utilizing numerous scientific instruments, software, and methodologies.

    Publishing History

    Ms Dickinson has published several peer-reviewed papers in journals including Journal of Applied Microbiology, Journal of Applied Phycology, and Algal Research.

    Editing and Reviewing Experience

    Ms Dickinson has reviewed many manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals. She has edited manuscripts for both students and colleagues at her institution. She demonstrates skills in editing and reviewing manuscripts, with meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to enhance clarity and coherence. She joined Edanz as an Editor in 2024.

    Writing Experience

    Ms Dickinson has experience with writing research reports and essays, creating Standard Operating Procedures and other technical writing, writing proposals and Statements of Work for potential projects, writing proposals and applications for grants for research and non-profit organizations, and writing medical reports for veterinary cases.
