Edanz to start new webinar series in writing skills

Edanz Group will hold a free writing webinar aimed at graduate students and early-career researchers on 2 October 2017, 7:00pm to 7:45pm Japan Standard Time. The webinar, which will be delivered in English, is open to all and will cover the basics of research writing for journal publication (click here for the registration site).

The 45-minute webinar will be presented by Dr Trevor Lane, Education Director and Senior Publishing Consultant of Edanz Group.

Learning about the fundamentals of research writing is important before you start preparing manuscripts for publication in international journals. There is more to professional research writing than just good English grammar and correct spelling. During this webinar, you will learn what journals look for, the "ABC" of good writing, and some common writing mistakes to avoid.

The webinar will be the first in a new series from Edanz Group on developing good research writing skills, which is especially focused at researchers who use English as a second or additional language. Requests for topics or issues to be covered in future webinars are welcome and can be emailed to <global@edanzgroup.com>.

The outline of the first webinar in the Writing Skills Webinar series is as follows:
